Data Privacy Day is coming up on Jan. 28, and it’s a great time to consider the importance of respecting privacy, safeguarding data and enabling trust. Help us celebrate on social media using the hashtag #PrivacyAware!
Here are a few easy ways to participate and help spread the word, it IS a worthy cause.
- Follow Data Privacy Day on Twitter at @DataPrivacyDay and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DataPrivacyNCSA.
- Share messages about online privacy on all of your social networks. The DPD gang has created social media posts that you can download and post on your accounts, or you can create your own. Make sure to use the hashtag #PrivacyAware!
- Update your social media profile pictures and cover photos throughout January to show everyone your interest in protecting and promoting privacy. Download the #DPD social media images.
- Help others learn about cybersafety and privacy. Take advantage of DPD tip sheets, lesson plans and classroom materials - Teach online safety!
