Security In the Cloud

Security is arguably one our biggest Techno-Complexities.  It has evolved over the years, often resulting in layers upon layers that require a fair amount of care & feeding.  In spite of the cost and effort, it tends to be very difficult to TRUST others with this responsibility - this SHOULD be the case, whether you are securing the home network or the enterprise.

The Google App guys recently posted an article and related whitepaper on the topic of Security.  Since this is a potential target environment for projects backlogged on this site, it deserves careful review.   Hopefully, we'll see similar write-ups from others - or (in my dreams) unified/certifiable industry standards in this area. 

In terms of the Cloud Computing Movement in general, Security really does need to the number one consideration - whether its a concern or motivation for moving to the clouds, spend some time on the topic.
